Gemma’s is the lead for this website and involved in all of the research projects on this website. She is an Associate Professor and Chartered Psychologist. Her research facilitates people working together to develop health services that make a real difference in practice. Her focus is on long-term conditions, women’s health, physical activity promotion and co-creation. She specialises in research on hypermobile Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (hEDS), Hypermobility Spectrum Disorders (HSD), Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS) and migraine, with recent research on this topic winning an impact in practice award by Emerald Publishing. She was the UK lead for the Erasmus+ funded ‘CoCreating Welfare’ project, with co-creation training tools now embedded in health promotion services across Europe, including NHS England.
