Professor Shea Palmer

Professor of Physiotherapy

Shea is Professor of Physiotherapy in the School of Healthcare Sciences at Cardiff University. He is now an honorary Professor at Coventry University following his professorship at the ‘Centre for Care Excellence’, a joint initiative between Coventry University and University Hospitals Coventry & Warwickshire NHS Trust. He has previously worked at Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh and the University of the West of England, Bristol. He has undertaken many research studies into hEDS/HSD and is very excited to work closely with the team in Coventry. His hEDS/HSD research has included epidemiology, qualitative research, surveys, systematic reviews, and laboratory and clinical studies. He led the development of the Bristol Impact of Hypermobility (BIoH) questionnaire, the only condition-specific patient-reported outcome measure.
